2018/3/29 Sakura viewing spot in Nakameguro Tokyo

March 29th in 2018. Actually this was my first visit to Nakameguro-river.

In Sakura season in Tokyo, they say there are few prettier areas in Tokyo than Nakameguro to enjoy them at night.

Because annually paper lanterns light up the river for the season. At night their faint pink glow illuminates the rosy petals of the cherry blossoms hovering above the river.

Thus many people both domestic and international, visit to the spot and take a gentle stroll to experience the spectacular sights and festivities.

As a matter of fact, I really hate a place packed with too many people like here. So next season, Eventhough the beautiful sakura viewing spot, I would never come here.

But Sakura were really nice!(^O^)

2018/3/29 Sakura viewing spot in Asakusa Tokyo

March 29th in 2018.
TOBU skytree line Asakusa station is the closest to the sakura viewing venue.

At that time, I visited Sumida river side. then moved to the site of Sensouji temple.

Nowadays, in this area, Kimono rental shops have been gaining popularity with people both domestic and international visitors. Thus anywhere around Sensouji temple, you can see many people especially women wearing kimono.

In my personal opinion, Sakura and Kimono are best matching in this season. because it looks like representing typical and traditional Japanese culture(^O^)

In the site of Sensouji temple, weeping cherries were in full bloom.

Despite of nice viewing spot for cherry blossoms, this place is very calm.

I love this spot as my own secret viewing spots.
